The Outdoors Club’s Halloween Trail Walk last night went spectacular. It was around 11pm, so understandably, no pictures… Sorry, your going to have to take my word for it. We arrived around 10:30, or something, and everyone in the Outdoors Club did a quick walk through the trail before sending in the unsuspecting college folk. The saddest part is none of us had any idea what we were doing until we took that first walk through. We all just picked our spot, thought out a little scary nook, and ran with it.
Jen, Emily, Cait and myself picked out a nice little stretch. Jen was supposed to walk up the trail backwards towards the group, playing like she fell down and the group ahead ran off without her and she got lost (yes, it worked flawlessly). When Jen joined the group, Emily made some sort of sound from off in the woods, then started through the woods towards the group. I’m not really sure what the sound was… Something with a turkey call… It was… Weird… Then they passed me, who was posing as a hanging dummy beside the trail. It was brilliant. First when the noticed me, they got scared real quick, then they passed me off as a fake, and kept walking. I waited until the group was almost past me, then I fell into the trail and started crawling towards them. While they were looking at me, screaming and backing down the trail, they backed through Cait, who ran up through the group and grabbed Jen, dragging her into the woods… It was brilliant, terrifying, and worked every time…
I heard every year has been lame, except this year. We made it…
So we went to the Halloween Dance here on campus this past Friday. In all honesty, it wasn’t all that bad…
To start things off we pre-gamed with the outdoors club peeps up on 9th floor. A little rum and a little Rock Superstar and we were ready to go…

Jen decided to be Alice for Halloween. She even had her mom make a custom outfit for the occasion. Now, we’re not talking the pretty little Alice in Wonderland “Alice.” This Alice has problems. Jen was the Alice from the game American McGee’s Alice. This is Alice after her house burns down, killing her whole family. This is Alice after being sent to a psych hospital, only to go absolutely insane, slip into a coma, and suddenly be forced to battle her way through Wonderland on acid… It’s a trip… She played the part well too. Full with the bloody apron, crazy knife, and hooker boots. She made me proud…
I, on the other hand, wasn’t nearly as creative… About two hours before the dance I still had no idea what I was going to go as, but Jen bailed me out… So… After a quick stop at Rite Aid I became a Vampire for Halloween. It was brilliant.
The dance was OK, mostly because the DJ played everything on the Billboard Top 100… I mean… Its an easy A. I’d show off more pictures of some other kids outfits if I had them. There were some decent ones. Problem is, I don’t even know who took these ones.
Tonight I have to go shoot the Pumpkin Bowling thing in the student center. After that I am off to Steven King’s house for some scary biz.. Hopefully… The plan is to only show up to the student center. Take like three pics, and get out… Thats the idea any way…
Wish me luck!
